I've always appreciated the way street art (when done well) breathes life into a neighborhood. I was walking down Melrose last week and snapped some shots of the latest wall art. Without these colors I don't think Melrose would be as interesting of a neighborhood to wander. You just can't help but wonder who it was that made these images and if there's any meaning behind them, or if the backstory is just that they felt like painting a flamingo that day. The other pics at the bottom of the collage are from a trip through stores in Silverlake and a visit to the Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball Museum (which, if you have little ones, is an awesome place to take them).
